Established in 1998 by Colin and Edward James, Redline are Herefordshire's telecoms experts trusted by over 1000 businesses.
After graduating with a degree in Geography & Environmental Management in 1997 Colin went on to complete a course in Managed Business Startup and in June 1998 together with Edward launched Redline. Starting out in mobile the business has grown and developed and now also covers fixed line, vehicle technology and utilities. Colin looks after some of our key accounts and is responsible for the overall management of the business. Away from the business Colin is an ex Motocross and Enduro racer and now enjoys the outdoors at a much slower pace with his family and springer spaniels.
After graduating with a degree in Building Surveying in 1996 Edward changed his career direction and entered the communications industry when he joined Talkland to help them open their new store in Hereford. The company was acquired by Vodafone twelve months later and Edward remained with them until June 1998 when he left to launch Redline with his brother Colin. Away from the business Edward enjoys riding his motorbike and spending time with his eleven year old son who competes in national enduro motorbike racing trials.
Alex joined the Redline Telecom team in October 2013 after graduating with a degree in Business Marketing. After initially joining Redline as an Account Manager, Alex is now in charge of the company’s sales and marketing and takes great pride in helping both new and existing customers improve their telecoms by finding the right products and services for their unique business needs. Outside of work Alex is an avid football fan he plays football for his local team Talgarth Town and is also a Manchester United season ticket holder!
Lisa has a long and well rounded history in retail, sales, training and customer service. Having started her career in 1998 with Tandy, Lisa moved to Carphone Warehouse in 2000 where she enjoyed a very successful career until Carphone Warehouse withdrawal from the high street twenty years later. We are proud to now have Lisa as a part of the team at Redline, helping to ensure our customers benefit from the very best in knowledge and service.
After finishing Sixth Form College with A levels in Business, Law and Maths Megan went on to complete a level 2 apprenticeship in Business Administration. Beforehand and during this time she acquired five years’ experience working in the hospitality industry. All of these experiences has increased her knowledge and experience with working in a business and supporting customers.
In her spare time Megan likes doing nails in her salon, going on walks with her dog and spending time with her friends and family.
Georgia joined the Redline Telecom team in 2021 after having 6 years customer service and management experience. During two years of this time Georgia also achieved a distinction in Travel and Tourism Level 3 and an A* in A-Level Photography.
In her spare time Georgia loves baking, yoga and planning her wedding.
Ben joined the Redline engineer team in 2020 and has already become an extremely valuable member of the team, helping our customers with cloud phone system installations and also completing numerous 4G mobile broadband installations. Outside work Ben's interests are also in technology, he is a keen gamer and also recently built his own computer!
Bob’s career in telecom started with an apprenticeship with British Telecom and has taken him to Europe and Canada. Bob joined Redline in 2012 and looks after all of the system installations and maintenance. A keen sports fan, especially football Bob also enjoys walking his dog and camping holidays.
Rhys joined our Engineer Team in February after previously working as a Network Installation Engineer where he even completed work at the recent Climate Summit in Scotland! Rhys has already become an important part of the team bringing his experience in structured cabling work to help install new cloud based phone systems for both new & existing customers. Since joining Redline Rhys has also just passed his Ericsson-LG Enterprise iPECS Cloud training exam for installing and maintaining VOIP phone systems to further develop his skills.
After graduating from college with completed Electrical Installation and Computing and IT courses, Jake then went on to Aberystwyth University where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science. Jake then worked in customer service before joining Redline.
In his spare time he likes to maintain the computer that he built himself!
Sally joined Redline in 2016. With a degree in Geography and a career that spans both the public and private sector Sally has a wealth of experience in customer focused positions. Outside work Sally loves spending time with her family, good food and the great outdoors.
